I asked my agents for a better personal intelligence system\. They came back with a stop sign\.

Oscar and I have been looking at how my personal agents collect useful signals, remember what matters, and bring old ideas back when I need them\. The first plan looked ready enough to move from review into a working pilot\.

Before changing anything, we made the system prove a few simple but important things\. Could it restore an old version if the new one failed? Could it keep private and work material separate and outside the boundarues we defined? Did we have enough real evidence to know the change would help? Two independent agent reviews reached the same answer: not yet\.

So we stopped with no schedules changed, no memory was moved, and no new agent was set loose on a larger pile of information\. The review left a clear list of what still has to be proven\.

That felt like progress, even though nothing new went live\. Personal AI gets more useful as it learns your interests and keeps more of the routine, but familiarity is not permission to do whatever it wants\. A good agent should be able to help build the bridge, inspect the supports, and tell you when it isn’t safe to cross\.

I still want the better system\. I just want the evidence, privacy checks, and way back in place before I say yes\.
