Man and Machine: The Wine Memory

One of the more useful things my agents have helped with lately is not grand strategy or some gleaming new productivity system. It is remembering which bottles Denise and I actually enjoyed on a trip, and which ones should quietly never be ordered again.
That sounds small until you are back at a restaurant, staring at a wine list, trying to remember whether the Mexican red was the good one with barbacoa or the one that seemed promising until it made Denise’s eyes and nose burn. The human memory version of this is usually a shrug, a guess, and a repeat mistake.
So we made it lighter. Photos, quick notes, dinner context, and our very subjective verdicts became a shared White Wino list and a simple little dashboard: buy again, maybe, not this one. No database project. No sommelier theatre. Just a way for Oscar and Jamie to help preserve the part that matters: what we liked, when we liked it, and why.
The machine did the organising. The taste still belongs to us. That is the sweet spot for personal AI: not replacing judgement, but making the next human choice a little more informed, a little more personal, and sometimes a little less expensive.
